Our Attorneys

Mariem Marquetti graduated cum laude from Boston University School of Law in May 2021. Ms. Marquetti began working with MHTL in 2020 as a Summer Associate, and joined the firm in September 2021 as an Associate.

Ms. Marquetti practices primarily in civil litigation and in the areas of municipal and land use law, education, and labor & employment. She has done work on matters before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, Department of Labor Relations, state courts, and in arbitration disputes. Ms. Marquetti has also advised school clients on matters pertaining to student records, public records, and the open meeting law, as well as provided guidance on a variety of zoning and land use matters. Ms. Marquetti has also conducted internal investigations, including an extensive systemic audit.

Prior to law school, Ms. Marquetti graduated summa cum laude from Boston University where she obtained her Master’s and Bachelor’s in Political Science. While there, Ms. Marquetti searched through historical archives and conducted multiple interviews for her research on Cuba’s involvement in the Angolan Civil War. Her interest in this historical event stems from her background as a Cuban American and her father’s participation in said event. In addition, Ms. Marquetti conducted extensive fieldwork study in the U.S. and in Havana for her Master’s thesis: In Search of Cuban Nationalism: Transcending Borders.

During law school, Ms. Marquetti served as a Law Clerk in the International Narcotics and Money Laundering section of the Department of Justice U.S. Attorney’s Office in Miami, and also participated in the BU Law International Human Rights Clinic.
