Ms. Hebert practices primarily labor and employment law and education
law, focusing on representing employers in the public sector. Ms. Hebert has successfully represented employers in dozens of actions
before state and federal administrative agencies, including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the Equal Employment
Opportunity Commission, the Department of Employment and Training, and the Civil Service Commission. Additionally, Ms. Hebert has successfully
litigated cases in both federal and state courts at both the trial and appellate levels involving a variety of claims. For instance, in
the case of Rossborough v.Town of Plymouth, Ms. Hebert represented the employer before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court which
upheld the termination of a police officer who violated, G.L. c. 41, '101A, the smoking prohibition for police officers and firefighters.
Ms. Hebert also engages in all aspects of the collective bargaining process including contract negotiations with unions, arbitrating grievances,
and defending employers before the Massachusetts Labor Commission. Additionally, Ms. Hebert provides advice and representation to schools
on a regular basis on a myriad of topics such as student discipline, personnel policies, and compliance with employment discrimination
laws.
Ms. Hebert graduated cum laude from Suffolk University Law School where she served on the Moot Court Board and received Achievement Awards in Criminal Law and Ethics. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, majoring in Accounting and minoring in Political
Science. Ms. Hebert is a member of the American Bar Association's Labor and Employment Section and a member of the Women's Bar Association. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Hebert was a Certified Public Accountant working for an international public accounting firm.
