Ms. Heimlich is an associate in the Labor and Employment Group. Her practice focuses on all aspects of labor and employment litigation involving claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour disputes. She has experience with lawsuits brought by individual plaintiffs as well as class and collective actions arising under Title VII and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Ms. Heimlich also represents clients before state and federal courts and before administrative agencies.

Ms. Heimlich's practice also includes counseling clients on various labor and employment-related matters including collective bargaining agreements, discrimination claims and wrongful termination matters. She also advises clients on compliance with federal and state laws, including Title VII, the American with Disabilities Act, FLSA and the Family Medical Leave Act.

While attending law school, Ms. Heimlich was a law clerk for the United States Department of Justice Office of Information and Privacy. As a law clerk, Ms. Heimlich coordinated and advised agencies regarding their response to request for information under the Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act. After law school, Ms. Heimlich was part of the White House Office of the General Counsel's investigative team during the Clinton Administration. Ms. Heimlich assisted Associate Counsels to advise senior White House staff regarding Congressional and grand jury investigations and worked on various complex civil litigation issues. For some time, Ms. Heimlich continued her general litigation practice working on a number of important antitrust matters involving mergers and acquisitions in the military defense and the beverage industries.

Ms. Heimlich began her labor and employment practice with the Atlanta office of Jones Day. While at Jones Day, Ms. Heimlich split her time working on class and collective action cases and single plaintiff discrimination cases. Under the FLSA, Ms. Heimlich was part of the defense team representing Target, Verizon Communications and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., and in single plaintiff discrimination cases, Ms. Heimlich defended the Bank of America Corporation and International Business Machines, Inc. Prior to joining Murphy, Hesse, Toomey & Lehane, LLP, Ms. Heimlich was an associate in the Labor and Employment Practice Group at the Boston office of Seyfarth Shaw focusing her practice on responding to charges of discrimination filed with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.

Ms. Heimlich received her Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law and her Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from Emory University. Ms. Heimlich is admitted to practice law in New York, Georgia and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
